The Body Speaks- Explore the language of your nervous system.

About this event

As we carry the spirit of Gratitude into the coming weeks, we’re grateful for opportunities to learn, connect, and care for ourselves and one another here on the island.

Have you ever wondered…

Why does my body respond this way?

What is my body trying to tell me?

What helps me feel more supported?

Join us for The Body Speaks: Learning the Language of Your Nervous System , a two-hour experiential workshop with Cat Tiesteel , Somatic Practitioner and Nervous System Educator.

After 20 years as a Registered Massage Therapist, Cat's curiosity about the body led her more deeply into nervous system education and somatic practices. Having recently moved to the Bellingham area from Ontario, Canada, she's enjoying getting to know the Pacific Northwest and is grateful for the opportunity to share her work with the Lummi Island community.

In this 2-hour workshop, we'll explore how stress, connection, uncertainty, activity, and rest show up in our bodies. Through accessible education, guided reflection, conversation, and simple embodied practices, you'll have space to notice your body's signals and develop a more curious, compassionate understanding of your own responses.

🌿 No experience needed. This is an educational, experiential workshop — not therapy — and everyone is welcome to participate at their own pace and comfort level.
