About this event
Grab your travel mug and beanies and join Salish Sea School staff and salmon biologist Craig Olson for a special Salish Sea Coffee Club field trip to view spawning salmon at Northern State Recreation Area!
Hear the story of salmon recovery here in Washington State while sipping on freshly brewed coffee, and then join us and Craig Olson on a short hike to learn the important role these fish play in our forest and marine ecosystems, how to spot their nests in streams, and if we're lucky - spot spawning salmon along the way!
Ages: 18+
WHAT TO BRING: Weather appropriate clothing and sturdy shoes, a coffee mug
ACCESSIBILITY NOTE: The trails at Northern State Recreation Area can be rough, uneven, and slippery. Bathrooms are available at the parking lot.

This event is FREE for all to attend! We want everyone to have the ability to experience the wonder of the sea. If you would like to help support this event and other marine education programs, please include a donation amount of your choosing in the section below. All gifts are deeply appreciated!
