- ➤ Bellingham Athletic Club celebrates 50 years of service as a community hub. Cathy Buckley, who has owned the club since 1997, helps nearly 4,000 members stay fit — connecting them to workout, swim and social programs on Meridian Street. KISM
- ➤ Whatcom County Parks and Rec said that Hovander Homestead Park in Ferndale has been closed since Dec. 10 due to flooding on the Nooksack River and will fully reopen by the end of January—only the boat launch parking lot and off–leash dog area remain open. My Bellingham Now

- ➤ Bellingham Bay cleanup projects are nearing completion in 2026; work at the former Eldridge Municipal Landfill, north part of the former Georgia Pacific plant and part of the Whatcom Waterway wraps up as design plans for additional areas will be developed later this year. KAFE
