EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The state signed an agreement last week to save $1.4 billion in K-12 funds that help low-income students, English learners, and children with disabilities. The deal prevents the education department from linking the funds to DEI compliance for local schools. 1170 KPUG
- ➤ State Attorney General Nick Brown and 18 other AGs reached an agreement with the Department of Education last week to protect $1.4 billion in K-12 funding aimed at supporting low-income students, English learners, and children with disabilities in Washington (the deal safeguards critical supports against federal policy changes).
