- ➤ Stone Temple Pilots will headline the Northwest Washington Fair in Lynden on Saturday, Aug. 15 at 7 p.m. — ticket pre-sales begin tomorrow, Feb. 18, and public sales open Friday at 9 a.m. on the fair’s website. KAFE

- ➤ Gas prices in Whatcom County currently average $4.05 per gallon—up over 40 cents in the past month—as AAA reported, while analysts expect further increases with upcoming refinery maintenance and seasonal demand shifts. KAFE

- ➤ Whatcom Fire District 7 has moved its administrative offices to a new Third Avenue location open today 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday — a critical step toward hiring more firefighters, adding sleeping quarters, starting a fire academy in April, and reaching 24/7 staffing at Station 41 by July 1.
