Crews rescued two skiers in separate backcountry incidents near Mount Baker over the weekend.

BMRC reported one skier was evacuated Saturday from Heather Meadows after an avalanche and another was rescued Sunday from the Hemispheres area (which is not monitored for avalanches) and urged travelers to use safe techniques.
