- ➤ A Bellingham man, 33-year-old Brian Drake, pled guilty to charges of child rape, molestation and incest after his victims reported abuse and was sentenced by Whatcom County to five years in prison followed by three years in community custody with a five-year no-contact order—state lawmakers are now moving forward with a bill that would require church leaders to report child abuse. - ➤ A 30-year-old Zimbabwean man who illegally crossed the border after stealing a canoe was caught by Border Patrol with nearly 1.5 pounds of MDMA and has pleaded guilty to gun and drug charges, with sentencing set for June 12. KAFE
