ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Remains of an unidentified male snowmobiler who rode into a tree well off Canyon Creek Road near Glacier on March 14th were recovered on March 18th after poor weather delayed the recovery and his body was taken to the Medical Examiner's Office.  KISM
  • One person died and three were hospitalized after a three-vehicle collision on the 5900 block of Church Road in Ferndale a little after 2 p.m. on March 18th as police investigated the crash and closed the road for safety.  KISM

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The City of Bellingham broke ground last Friday on an affordable housing complex in Old Town that will add roughly 800 residential units over eight blocks for low- to moderate-income residents. This project is part of a 10-year plan to revitalize the district and includes a $5 million investment with Whatcom County for streetscape improvements.  KISM

HEALTH NEWS

  • SeaBear recalled its Smoked Salmon and Alehouse Clam chowders after products bought between last October and March 14 had a faulty seal that might let in bacteria causing botulism. Customers who bought the chowders are advised not to eat them and to call SeaBear for a full refund.  KAFE
