ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A portion of northbound I-5 near Bellingham was closed Thursday night after a landslide blocked all lanes; crews are working to clear fallen trees and set a detour at the North Lake Samish Road exit (milepost 246) while drivers are advised to use caution. FOX13
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Washington State Department of Ecology is accepting public comments on the Westman Marine Cleanup Site in Blaine Harbor beginning Monday and continuing until April 21 — feedback will shape plans to address one acre of upland and 27 acres of water impacted by decades of boatyard use. KAFE
- ➤ Some roads remain closed amid rising water levels, with Hannegan Road blocked between Lynden and Polinder Road this afternoon and floodgates shut at Slater, Ferndale, and Marine Drive; drivers are advised to slow down and turn around if needed. My Bellingham Now
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ WSDOT will close the left lane on I-5 southbound between George Hopper Road and Kincaid Street from 8 p.m. Sunday to 4:30 a.m. Tuesday for jersey barrier replacement — northbound traffic will be limited to one lane from Tuesday night to Thursday morning, slowing overnight commutes. KISM
- ➤ WSDOT will close the left lane on I-5 southbound between George Hopper Road and Kincaid Street—roadwork from 8 p.m. Sunday to 4:30 a.m. Tuesday morning—and reduce northbound lanes to one from Tuesday night through Thursday morning. KAFE
