  • Maoli will perform at the Pacific Grandstand stage at the Northwest Washington Fair on Sunday, Aug. 16. Pre-sale tickets start Wednesday, with general public sales at 9 a.m. Friday via the fair’s website.  KAFE

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Residents in 16 counties including Whatcom and Skagit are automatically eligible for an IRS tax extension until May 1, 2026 due to last December's floods. Affected residents may contact IRS special services if they encounter filing issues.  KAFE

SPORTS NEWS

  • Western Washington University's rowing team won four of five races at the Viking Invitational on Lake Samish Saturday. The crew raced against the University of Puget Sound with fans cheering near Samish Park, marking the third meet of the season for the nationally ranked Vikings.  KISM
