- ➤ The Whatcom County Library System Board approved a contract to renovate the former Vogt family home for Birch Bay Library Express. Summit Construction Group will begin work next month—adding expanded parking and ADA upgrades—so the new library spot will offer meeting spaces and computer access by January. 1170 KPUG
- ➤ The Memorial Day Parade runs downtown from noon to 3 p.m. starting at Alabama and Cornwall. Monday, American Legion Post 7 hosts a Memorial Park ceremony at 9 a.m. and luncheon at 12:45 p.m., and Ferndale’s Greenacres Memorial Park holds the Avenue of Flags from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. KAFE
