Good morning, Bellingham.

The Nooksack Valley School Board honored longtime business teacher Sue Robinson with the Educator of the Year award on May 15 at a meeting by the Lynden/Ferndale International Masonic Lodge No. 56—she has spent 42 years teaching, including 35 years in the district.

Yesterday, the sold-out Ski to Sea Race passed through Everson — where the city provided swift water rescue support on the Nooksack to keep participants safe.

The race course ran through Glacier, Maple Falls, Kendall, Lynden and Ferndale before finishing in Fairhaven.
