- ➤ No one was injured when an RV fire started near the Guide at the intersection of Guide and Smith Road around 5 p.m. Monday after someone used starter fluid on an unused RV—fire crews from North Whatcom, Fire District 7 and Bellingham quickly put out the blaze that spread to a second RV while an investigation began. - ➤ Last weekend, more than 200 Washington firefighters left for northern Alberta and Saskatchewan to battle dozens of wildfires, with smoke drifting into the Midwest and eastern parts of the country.
