ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A Lummi fisherman died near Point Roberts last week when his vessel began taking on water and a Canadian rescue crew arrived before the U.S. Coast Guard. The fisherman's family and Lummi Nation criticized the Coast Guard for its slow response—stating that every second counted. 1170 KPUG
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ I-5 was fully closed Tuesday night from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. for paving work on its northbound section (between Sunset Drive and Meridian Street) and will close tonight from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. on its southbound section (between Northwest Avenue and Meridian Street), so drivers are advised to use detour routes.
