- ➤ Public Works recommended lowering speed limits on many roads after reviewing collision data and nearby structures—downtown streets would be set at 20 mph while main thoroughfares like Alabama and Lakeway Drives would see reductions, and changes could be approved as early as 2026. KAFE
- ➤ The Ferndale City Council voted 5-2 on Monday to oppose a citizen initiative on the November ballot that would ban junk fees for renters—citing concerns that small landlords may struggle with maintenance and safety needs.
