- ➤ On November 6, a federal judge ordered the administration to fully fund SNAP benefits for November and set a deadline of today for the payments—state officials warned that users might not see funds on their debit cards immediately. More than 10% of Whatcom County residents rely on food stamps, and state agencies are working to process payments as soon as possible. KAFE

- ➤ Seattle’s new professional women’s hockey team was named the Torrent while Vancouver introduced the Goldeneyes along with new logos, with their first game set for Nov. 21. In Whatcom County last night, Lynden won the 2A volleyball title and Sehome secured the 2A girls soccer crown—both advancing to state tournaments next week amid shifting high school football rankings and NFL matchups.
