HEALTH NEWS

  • The Swinomish Tribe announced that didgʷálič Wellness Center will add a second mobile unit to offer substance abuse care starting Monday, Nov. 10 in the First Baptist Church parking lot in Bellingham—its other unit has provided mental and physical health services at the Anne Deacon Center of Hope since late January.  KAFE
  • State health officials launched the Respiratory Immunization Dashboard to share weekly data on COVID, flu and adult RSV vaccines; the tool shows that Whatcom County has higher vaccination rates than the state average—pediatric RSV shots trail by only one percentage point. The dashboard will keep updating as flu season continues.  KAFE
