GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The North Cascades Highway reopened on Monday, Nov. 17 at 11 a.m. after a four-day closure caused by forecasted weekend snow—WSDOT has not set a winter closure date. KAFE
- ➤ WSDOT announced that the right lane on southbound I-5 from the North Lake Samish overpass to just south of Chuckanut Drive will be closed from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Nov. 19 and Nov. 20—crews will remove rocks and drivers should expect delays. KISM
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ The Mariners signed first baseman Josh Naylor to a five-year contract after he hit .299 with nine home runs and 19 stolen bases, and the Seahawks lost 21-19 to the Rams when a last-second field goal missed its mark—former Seahawks safety Kenny Easley died at 66.
