- ➤ PNW Media Group and DeWaard & Bode announced on Dec. 3 that they raised $440,577 for Feed the Need to support food banks in Whatcom, Skagit, Island, and San Juan counties (including a $150,000 matching donation). Donations remain open for families facing winter hunger. KAFE
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Emergency officials say king tides will cause higher water levels along the coast this weekend and coastal areas saw effects Friday. In places like Shelton, tides may reach 16 ft with inland regions including Bellingham facing tides Saturday morning from 8 to 9 a.m. — residents should exercise caution. FOX13
