About this event
Verboten are a mysterious bunch of multi-instrumentalists who have somehow found their way out of the encroaching mist to play some (new) classic songs for you. Based in Bellingham, the band has a sound falling somewhere between the precise compositions of Andy Shauf and the unexpected turns of Wilco.
Voice and lyrics clear as glass, Where’s Beth (project of Sarabeth Weszely) carries the kind of honesty that makes a room go still. Raised in the Midwest and trained as a writer, Weszely brings a literary sensibility to her songs, shaped by close observation and restraint. She lived seven years in New York City, where she recorded for my mom & other lovers (2022) and Bone Broth (2024). These early releases introduced her devotion to shared domestic spaces and the emotional textures of the mundane.
Listed by Honey Moon (Squarespace), gathered by the Bellingham events calendar.
